Listen first
We begin with the student, school or family's priorities, context and ambitions.
About us
BAKARE Education & Careers Consultancy was created to give schools, students and families clear, thoughtful and practical support at the points where education and future planning meet.
Our perspective
Our approach is shaped by experience across school-based careers guidance, UK higher-education admissions and administration, student support, application assessment and programme delivery.
That combination matters. Career planning is not separate from subject choices, university applications or employability. We look at the whole progression journey — helping students understand themselves, understand their options and make decisions they can explain with confidence.
Founder
Adesola Bakare is the Founder and Lead Adviser. Her experience includes careers guidance at Grange School in Lagos, admissions operations at Middlesex University, student and programme support at the University of Bradford, her current higher-education administrative role at The Institute of Ismaili Studies in London, and annual scholarship application assessment for Chevening.
She is undertaking an MSc in Occupational Psychology, bringing an evidence-informed perspective to strengths, motivation, decision-making and career development.
How we work
We avoid one-size-fits-all advice. The aim is not to tell a student what to do, but to create enough structure, insight and challenge for them to make stronger decisions themselves.
We begin with the student, school or family's priorities, context and ambitions.
We turn broad possibilities into researched options, realistic criteria and a practical plan.
We help translate decisions into applications, conversations, experiences and next steps.
